Refund Policy

At Denman Island Coffee Company, we take pride in roasting and delivering fresh, high-quality coffee. If you’re not satisfied with your order, please review our refund policy below.

1. Eligibility for Refunds or Replacements

 

Due to the perishable nature of our products, we generally do not accept returns on opened or used coffee items. However, we want to ensure you’re happy with your purchase.

You may be eligible for a refund, replacement, or store credit if:

  • You received the wrong item or an item was missing from your order.

  • Your order arrived damaged or defective (e.g., damaged packaging, leaking bags).

  • The coffee was not roasted or delivered as promised (e.g., stale beans or incorrect roast date).

2. How to Request a Refund or Replacement

 

To request a refund or replacement:

  • Contact us at owner@betterplanetcoffee within 7 days of receiving your order.

  • Include your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photos if applicable.

  • We will review your request within 2–3 business days and let you know the outcome.

3. Non-Refundable Items

 

We cannot offer refunds or returns for:

  • Opened bags of coffee (unless there is a quality issue).

  • Items purchased on sale or clearance.

  • Orders placed with incorrect shipping information provided by the customer.

  • Delays caused by postal carriers or customs (for international orders).

4. Shipping Costs

 

If a refund or replacement is approved due to our error, we will cover any associated shipping costs. Otherwise, shipping fees are non-refundable, and return shipping (if applicable) is the responsibility of the customer.

5. Store Credit

 

In some cases, we may offer store credit instead of a refund or replacement. Store credits will be issued via a unique discount code sent to your email.
